This one-of-one product is a collaboration between Rurban and NOAH. The overstock garment provided by NOAH has been backpacked all the way from New York to the village of Guizhou, Southwest China.
This crewneck has a special folklore: The cat and tiger are siblings. One day, the tiger asked the cat to go to the human world and collect fire from a grandmother’s house. The grandmother fed the cat a bowl of rice. The cat found the rice so tasty he forgot to collect the fire, which upset the tiger. This folktale is a metaphor where new generations may have tasted something new and forgotten their traditions. The village elderly say, “Be careful feeding cats rice, because once they’ve tasted something new, they might not return home”.
