The Miao group resides throughout the interior hills of Guizhou Province in China. Guizhou historically has been one of the least developed provinces in China, but holds some of China’s most vibrant cultures from its minority groups. Yet Guizhou currently finds itself in the cusp between tradition and modernity as the government has plans to alleviate poverty through the construction of high speed railways, telecom, and other technological industries.
