This one-of-one product is a collaboration between Rurban and NOAH. The overstock garment provided by NOAH has been backpacked all the way from New York to the village of Guizhou, Southwest China. Customized creatively by Indigenous artists of the Miao community, it features their unique indigo dyeing.
Spiral motifs signify flowing water in Miao culture, representing the journey of life; each life decision creates ripples into the future. With different tying and hand-clamping techniques, the garment has been dyed in locally produced indigo, and washed in mountain water.
