Drawn by Bhuri Bai, a Bhil artist based in Central India. Bhuri Bai is a very talented and famous artist specialising in Pithora artworks. She has been recognised by many awards for this art form which encourages her to continue with this work. She's working at Tribal Museum as a painter.

The Bhil tribe is an ethnic group inhabiting the Western part of Central India. Well over 1.5 million live as marginal farmers in almost 2000 villages. The members of the Bhil tribe possess a vast array of rich customs and traditions. Their "pointilist" tradition is inspired by the kernels of maize—the Bhil’s staple crop—each group of dots have multiple layers of symbolism. The Bhil community strongly worships nature and thus, the forest is a popular motif in Bhil artwork. Stories, prayers, ancestors, memories and traditions are skillfully painted into a symphony of multihued and rhythmic dots.
