Warli There are fewer than 50 Warli artists remaining. The origins of Warli art go back thousands of years, and it is believed that their art is some of the closest examples to ancient cave paintings we can see in the modern day. Traditionally the Warli tribe lived in huts characterized by walls made from bamboo poles lined up and plastered with mud and cow dung. Once the walls hardened, designs would be painted on during auspicious events. Warli art depicts traditional fables, rituals, daily life and current issues affecting the community, such as floods and the plight of the rural poor.

20% of profits and protective wear given to community Tribal communities have been severely affected during COVID-19 in both art sales and access to protective wear. 30% of the profits from this mask. Every partner artist will also receive mask featuring their art. The mask comes in a sterile envelope to park mask with the Roots Studio mission, the mask story, and impact statement.

Advance Filter Protection Our mask includes five carbon PM 2.5 filters that can be inserted into the breathing side of the mask. The filters have five layers of filtration and are capable of blocking the smallest nanoparticles, utilizing the same technology applied to N95s and KN95s (with significantly less resistance in breathing). The material has electrostatic properties that capture particles in between layers.

Material The design is printed on cotton polyester and can be machine washed.
